Dr. Chitra Natarajan
Dr. Chitra Natarajan, or Dr. C as she is known to her clients and patients in the Chicago area, has been in practice for almost 16 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College in New York and both her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
In 2000, after looking into alternative approaches to further help her patients, Dr. C became certified in veterinary acupuncture by the Chi Institute in Florida. Since then, Dr. C has taken multiple courses in different alternative medicine modalities such as western herbs, Chinese herbs and homotoxicology.
Dr. C lives with two orange tabby cats, Fiona and Fanny, who decided to adopt her in 1995 while she was a senior in veterinary school. In her free time, she loves playing tennis, improving her proficiency in Italian and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Mitchell moved to Chicago in 2006 with his wife, Bethany, and daughter, Scarlette. Before joining Pets First in July, he practiced in Lincoln Square for 5 years. He brings with him 13 years of experience in providing compassionate care for his patients and clients. Dr. Mitchell's special interests include but are not limited to soft tissue surgery, senior care, and internal medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with his family, including his four cats, and exploring the sights and sounds of Chicago.
Dr. Curtis is now seeing paitents on Tuesdays from 3-6pm for mainly Chiropractic Work but she does offer other modalities.
Dr. Kimberly Curtis joins the Pets First staff with over 15 years of experience in chiropractic care, physical therapy, and related holistic/complementary therapies. Dr. Curtis has a special interest in senior pet preventive/interventive holistic health care and pain management. She will be offering quality chiropractic care to our patients!
In her free time, Dr. Curtis enjoys spending time with her young daughter as well as a host of beloved "senior citizen pets" (cats, Synclaire - 19 years, Calista - 13 years; dogs, Sasha - 10 years, QQ the guinea pig - 8 years). Urban Homesteading has become Dr. Curtis' new hobby where activities like worm composting, making kefir, and making yogurt round out a day-in-the-life of this busy doctor and mom!
